Housing prices in Washington’s 1st District have soared in recent years.
Suzan DelBene has supported federal housing programs but has not introduced major legislation to directly bring down home prices in our area.
While assistance programs help some, they do not address the root causes limited housing supply and high construction costs.
My plan includes:
- Federal tax incentives for building affordable housing in high-cost regions
- Streamlined zoning approvals for workforce housing
- No federal income tax for families earning $61,000 or less
It’s time for bold action that delivers results for working families not just studies and pilot grants.
